Half painter, half print maker and two thirds street artist, BOXXHEAD (aka Kevin McNulty) is a mixed media abstract. Known for his robotic figures and use of bold colour. BOXXHEAD celebrates “mistakes” and explores the boundaries of his processes with layers of automatic mark-making and spontaneous words and images.

Boxxhead is taking part in the upcoming Summer open studios
My studio is in a shared art studio space within an old (quirky) tannery building with three other artists. My space has plenty of floorspace, natural light and vibrant artworks (as pictured) on the walls themselves. I have a compact desk and shelves of spray paints and racks of squeegees for my screen printing table which is also in the room.

Directions
From Bishopthorpe Road: go left past the side of The Swan Inn pub and then turn first left down the little lane which is Cherry Hill Lane. The house is the only detached property with a very large grey No 5 on the front.
From Bishopgate Street: walk up the sloped path that has a white metal fence and turn left down Cherry Hill Lane path. Keep walking down the little path and the house is on the right.
Parking
There is no parking at the house but there is the short stay car park further down Bishopthorpe Road next to Millie’s Fruit & Veg shop.
Access
Access can be gained via the garage/garden double gates which is all on one level so that wheelchairs etc can be used. The garage gallery is on the same level. My art studio can be accessed via the garden but has 1 step.

There is the house bathroom if required
